Thank you for bringing your children to Children’s Music Time! They are a joy to be with each week. And how cute are they when they sing or play bells in church? We especially love incorporating them into the adult choir anthems, as we did during the Lessons and Carols service during Advent, and on Palm Sunday in March. We think it is important for them to grow up with a sense of being part of a worshipping community. The kids are always so excited to sing not just for the adults, but with the adults, as it makes them feel included and loved.
Please mark your calendars! The children will sing during worship on May 8th, which is both Mothers’ Day and Children’s Day at Sharon Church. They will also participate in the Music Appreciation Sunday (Trinity Sunday) on May 22nd. Attendance at Children’s Music Time has been very good during Lent, so the kids have been able to learn some of the upcoming music for the Easter Season; however, they quickly forget when they are away for too long. Please plan on having the children attend during the month of April – for practice, for learning, and for fun!
Mark and Treva could also use some help. These little rascals can get very rambunctious when they are having a good time; therefore, another adult in the room helps with crowd control, and allows Mark and Treva to keep teaching the crowd when one child needs a bathroom break. As of right now, no one is signed up to help during April or May. Please consider spending a Sunday with us this spring.
