Deacons will be collecting $20 dollar gift cards from Kmart to be distributed in November to the Food Pantry participants. This is an annual mission project known as the Giving Basket that has been traditionally very successful. Please keep this donation in mind as you make your plans to celebrate this holiday season. Gift cards will be collected in front of the Church Sanctuary the three Sundays before Thanksgiving. Money donations will also be welcomed and put towards purchasing gift cards for distribution during the holidays. Your donation can go a long way in helping a family in need experience some holiday cheer this year.
Cards & Congregation
If you have cards from organization and don’t know what to do with them, or would simply like to donate cards, please give them to the Deacons. There is a box in the Narthex. Deacons send cards to shut-ins, hospitalized, recovering at home, folks who need encouragement, or have lost a loved one or close friend.
In particular we need Get Will and Thinking of You/Saying Hello cards. Anniversary, thank-you cards, postcards and wrapping paper are NOT accepted please.
We have plenty of Christmas cards, but only a handful of Deacons to spread that cheer! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get our congregation involved in helping us spread some Christmas cheer to our homebound members. Just stop in the Narthex, pick up cards and a sheet of names and addresses, sign the cards and mail them in time for the holiday! If you have questions, please contact Megan Hamsher at email@example.com or 412-983-5954.
Thank you from your Greeting Card Coordinator!
