The congregation has responded generously to two special offerings. The Bread Basket Offering in July collected $594 which was sent to the Uncommon Grounds Café to support their ministry to the least, the last and the lost. On September 18th, we collected an offering benefitting the Reuel Johnson Scholarship Fund. This offering netted $1,005 and will be used to assist Sharon members or staff in seminary studies.
Sharon members again responded to critical needs of the homeless by giving a Day of Support to Family Promise on Wed. September 21st. Thanks goes to Debbie Williams, Sara Kobak, Tom Capkovic and Grace and Dan Peters for their act of caring for these people. These members of Sharon Church were able to show Christ’s love to four adults and seven children and teenagers. All of those who participated is this service to others reported, “There is joy in giving in this manner.” We hope that by the time you read this, you will be enjoying your First Fruits Devotion Booklet.
